Our History
The Club was formed in early 2013.The Current Club Officers and Management Committee are Roger Bowley (Commodore), Heather Bowley (Hon Club Sec/Treas.), Carla Richardson (Club Services Officer), Jenny Davis (Social Liaison Officer), Steve Palmer (Bosun), and Mark Curtis (Admin Assistant). Feel free to look around our website, and don't forget that you don't need to be an Island Harbour berth holder, resident, or even own a boat to be a member.

IHYC and Dingy Sailing!
IHYC proudly hosts a dinghy compound provided by Island Harbour Marina, where Ryde Sea Cadets thrive as they embark on their journey that empowers young individuals to embrace the sea and develop their skills.

The Club was founded in early 2013 and is RYA Affiliated.
The current officers and management committee responsible for guiding the Club's activities and initiatives include Roger Bowley, who serves as Commodore and provides leadership. Heather Bowley takes on the dual role of Honourable Club Secretary and Treasurer, managing communications and finances with diligence. Carla Richardson fulfils the Club Services Officer role, ensuring members receive the best possible services and support. As Social Liaison Officer, Jenny Davis works tirelessly to organise engaging social events and strengthen community ties. Steve Palmer serves as Bosun, while Mark Curtis supports the team as Administrative Assistant, aiding in various administrative duties to keep the Club running smoothly.
Together, they contribute to the Club's mission of fostering camaraderie and enjoyment among its members.

After processing your application, a membership card and a club screen sticker will be issued to you. Upon receipt of your card, you can start taking advantage of the benefits of Membership, all of which are given at the provider's discretion.
