About The Club
Our History
The Club was formed in early 2013 and is located at Island Harbour Marina. The Current Club Officers and Management Committee are Roger Bowley (Commodore), Heather Bowley (Hon Club Sec/Treasurer/Social Sec/ MembershipAdmin), Carla Richardson (Club Services Officer), Jenny Davis (Social Liaison Officer), Steve Palmer (Bosun), and Mark Curtis (Admin Assistant).
Non Committee Club assistants, Steve White, our Flag Etiquette advisor, and Barbara White, who can provide advice on matters of First Aid.
The Club was created to provide unity between residents, berth holders and visitors to Island Harbour through social events, Boat Jumbles and more. These events also facilitate fundraising for local and national charities.
Feel free to look around our website, and don't forget that you don't need to be an Island Harbour berth holder, resident, or even own a boat to be a member.

IHYC and Dingy Sailing!
IHYC proudly hosts a dinghy compound, provided by Island Harbour Marina, for Members’ dinghies. Within it, the Club has provided facilities and support for Ryde Sea Cadets to thrive as they embark on their journey, empowering young individuals to embrace the sea and develop their skills.

No matter if you have a sailing boat or a motorboat, or even if you don’t own a boat at all, you’re warmly invited to join the excitement at our club!

After processing your application, a membership card and a club screen sticker and transom sticker will be issued to you. Upon receipt of your card, you can start taking advantage of the benefits of Membership, all of which are given at the provider's discretion.
